Still Summer here in Arizona

It still reaches up to the 100's, I don't know when we will see Fall.

Today Sophie wore Gymboree from the 2009 line Pretty Lady. I got this set back then and she did wear it before when she was chunker. Evie is also wearing Gymboree a dress from the 2010 line Glamour Safari. I got the dress at the Goodwill for $1.29.

Pink and white

Today both Sophie and Evie wore pink and white outfits from Janie and Jack. Sophie is wearing an adorable outfit from the Summer Boardwalk line, its so cute, it features a boardwalk scene, it reminds me of the Santa Monica Pier. Evie is wearing a dress from the Little Beachcomber line, she picked out her own shoes, Crocs which are on the wrong feet.

One of Sophie's teachers liked her outfit. She called it the carnival skirt. I got the set on Ebay. I don't remember what I paid for it. perhaps $20. Evie is once again in hand me downs. Here's Sophie wearing it in 2009.

Matchy matchy

Today Sophie and Evie wore their Janie and Jack citrus apron dresses. I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it but at the $59 price I could no way afford two. I waited and waited and finally snatched them up when they went down to $18! yayy. They fit big so I'm sure they will wear them again next summer.

The girls always pick flowers in the morning. We have some bushes infront of our apartment that they like to pluck flowers from.

I guess Evie felt pretty today, when we dropped Sophie off to school, Evie grabbed her apron and said to Sophie's teacher "Look, I'm a princess" :)

My pictures came out to bright but this is what the colors really look like

A little weekend vacation

We flew in to California for the weekend to attend my nephew's 2nd birthday party.

The girls didn't really wear anything special since I knew they would be playing and eating.

Sophie is wearing a Gap cardigan, Target tank top and Gymboree skort. Evie is wearing a dress I got at a consignment shop. I think its a Target brand.

Pictured on a small scale train. They had a blast riding it.

Then it was back to AZ and back to school.
Sophie is wearing a Gymboree outfit from the "Smart girls rule" line.

I got her this outfit for my nephews 1st birthday party last year. Here she is wearing it back then

I also got her the matching doll

She's somewhere in our home

Evie is wearing another consignment shop dress. I think its from either Target or Walmart.

Beach Shack

Gymboree's Beach Shack line has to be my favorite summer line ever. It came out in 2008 and I think I own just about every piece. Here are the girls sporting some 2008 Gymboree.

Evie's shirt reads "My Dad is the big Kahuna" I got it for Sophie on sale to wear for Father's day 2009 :) the shorts are embroidered with hula girls and palm trees. I miss the old Gymboree. It use to be really good quality. Its now overpriced and just so plain

Sophie's shorts are adorable. they are patch work pattern and they go real nice with her swing top.

I did go to Gymboree the other day and walked out with this for $7!!!!! It was on sale plus an extra 25% off and I used my 20% off coupon and my $5 rewards.

Its from the Cape Cod Cutie line. I'm saving it for next year.

Another hot day.

And more Gymboree.

I got Sophie's outfit ages ago! she was maybe 18 months or so? She was a chunker when she was a baby and she could barely fit into a size 3. I used the top as a dress when she was a baby.

I love the shorts, they have sea shells on the bottom and the sea star has some sequins.

Evie is wearing a hand me down dress, also Gymboree. It has beautiful embroidery on the bottom of monkeys and palm trees. She picked out her own shoes, some old crocs.

Sophie in the same dress in the summer of 09
Looks like she is in Mardi Gras in Summer 09 by

They both own Fancy Nancy backpacks.

Evie wanted to be just like her big sister.

popsicle party

Today is hot! 97+ degrees. Both girls are wearing Gymboree Popsicle party, the pattern is so cute, it has popsicles and ice cream cones. Sophie's outfit I got during the Red Balloon sale so each piece was about $4.99. Evie's coordinating dress I got at the Goodwill for $1.29. I went one day and found tons and tons of Gymboree, Janie and Jack and GAP. The Goodwill I use to go to had a set price of $1.29 for children's clothing.

same shoes as before. I'm finding out that I need to buy more shoes. Sophie could definitely use some pink sandals.

hot pink day

Today was a very busy day. Evie had her well check up today and she also got her flu shot. I had no time to take her picture because after the doctors visit she napped. I did manage to get a picture of Sophie before she changed for her ballet class.

Today she is wearing a Walmart shirt (yes from the $1 sale) and a Lilly Pulitzer skort that I got for about $2 at a consignment shop. If you love bright colors then Lilly is for you. I can spot a Lilly garment miles away. I have been able to find many pieces at thirft stores and consignment shops.

Little Chicas with Style

Wanted to start another blog about my "other" passion besides crafts and baking, Children's fashion. Now that Sophie started Pre school I thought it would be fun to document all her cute little outfits for school.
 So let me catch up

Here she is on her first day of school in Gymboree. Got this dress during the Red Balloon Sale for about $6. Shoes are from Payless. I think I got them during the BOGO sale for about $4

Day 2. Janie and Jack (Ice cream social) Got this set for about $15 on super clearance last year. I wait till its out of season and I purchase for the year ahead. Shoes I got from Target for $4.48 what a deal!

Day 3 Janie and Jack (Yacht party) I waited for a few markdowns and got the cardigan for about $20, the rest I got super cheap when it was out of season last year. Shoes are light up Disney Princess shoes from Kohls that I got FREE. they sent me a $10 coupon and that's how much they were. score!

Day 4 (after missing a week of school due to strep and pneumonia) Its Calvin Klein from TJ Maxx the set was $14.

I need to take pictures of my Evie too. Poor thing usually just wears Sophie's hand me downs. Here she is in one of my favorite Gymboree dresses.
